Welcome to the JournalismAI Discovery Lab, our updated and expanded e-learning experience on all things artificial intelligence and journalism.
The purpose for this initiative is to empower journalists, editors, product managers and newsroom people to learn the basics of AI at their own pace and at their own time.
It is designed by the JournalismAI team at the London School of Economics (LSE) and supported by the Google News Initiative.
Why the JournalismAI Discovery Lab?
We are passionate about making the potential of AI more accessible, countering the inequalities in the global news media around the subject.
What started in 2022 as a simple, email-based course quickly grew into a global movement. Over 16,000 journalists, creators and media professionals from more than 115 countries, learning across four languages joined us on that initial journey.
The overwhelming demand for this training made one thing clear: our community needed a permanent home. The JournalismAI Discovery Lab was built to be just that. Now, no matter where you are in the world or how busy your schedule is, you can learn, experiment and grow at your own pace, anytime and from anywhere.
**The courses and resources found here can be used as precursors for participants looking to join other JournalismAI programmes like the Strategy Lab and/or the Skills Lab.
